We are Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue,
We are a group of animal lovers and volunteers who live in and around the Rossendale Valley in the North West.
We raise funds to provide vet treatment, neutering and vaccinations for the animals in our care by auctions, sponsorship for various activities and also donations.
All money raised goes towards any medical treatment needed by the animals and is also now enabling us to branch in to saving dogs from the pound before they are put to sleep.
The group was started in 2012 by Michaela Howard-Holt and has rapidly grown in size and strength. The group now offer several branches of operation.
For each animal that comes into our rescue, whether that be a dog, cat, hamster, rabbit, parrot etc, we visit each potential scooter personally and ro a homecheck. This is to make sure the area is safe for the animal being adopted, and to meet the family. This means we are better able to place an animal with you that both suits your family and is the right environment for the animal.
Every animal will be neutered, vaccinated, flead and wormed. This is all included in the adoption fee. For animals who are too young to be neutered before leaving, the cost is still covered by us, but the adopter must take them back to our vet when old enough.
